American Honda's Rider Education Centers offer 100% dedicated scooter, street bike, dirt bike and ATV training facilities, built with the rider in mind. These are not parking lots or 'reduced' ranges; rather, they are purpose-built training facilities. Our Centers are as 'perfect' an environment for motorcycle and ATV training as we can make them.
Street bike, scooter, dirt bike, and ATV training classes are conducted regularly, except major holidays, and there are frequent weekend classes. We have multiple ranges, so two or more different classes may be taught on the same dates.
Helmets are available at the Centers, as well as gloves, although it is preferable for students to utilize their own riding gear if they have it. Long pants, long sleeved shirt (or jacket), eye protection (sunglasses or Rx are sufficient) or a helmet with a face shield, and leather footwear that covers the ankle (boots are preferable) are required.
If you already own a motorcycle, the Experienced Rider Course (ERC) may be completed in one day. It is required for you to utilize your own motorcycle in this class and it must meet all state legal requirements, inclusive of an operative front brake, current inspection, registration, insurance, etc. You must also possess a current valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement as well. You can enroll by calling the Colton, CA Honda Rider Education Center at (909-430-3000) or by visiting https://www.colton.honda.com For classes held at sites other than Colton, contact the Motorcycle Safety Foundation at (800) 446-9227 or visit https://www.msf-usa.org
